Every morning i go with my father collecting some garbage in our neighborhood, we collect some newspaper, plastic bottle and scrap metal… once we have collected it we go the junk shop then sell what we have collected, but its not much enough to buy our food. what i do, in the afternon, i drive a pedicab, it’s a bicycle with side car, i drove it until midnight. The money that i collected, was given to my mother. To add to the money what we have earn in the morning, to bye our food. that’s whay its hard for me to go to school, cu’z its hard for me to buy some school supply, school uniform and hard for us to pay my tuition. But when the MayFlowers Foundation was founded in our neighborhood, i was Choosen as one of thier scholar, They given us School supply, school uniform, school bags, and most of all they pay our tuition fee in school. Now it’s not hard for me to go to school, i promised to the foundation to get a high grades.. to exchange what they have given to me.. HAPPY TO HELP!
by Julgielyn Batisla-ong
Yesterday afternoon when I come home from School, my Auntie told me that our foundation Service come to my place asking if we could help for the Chapel Cleaning, and without doubt I told to my Auntie that I must go to help them. And today I meet with my fellow Scholars but we are not so many because others are preparing for the exam next week, but we are happy to hear that on the first saturday of next month(September) we had a Holy Mass and we can make a daily rosary in the Chapel and we are happy to hear also that next week the Mayflowers Foundation starting to Fix the doors and window of the Chapel and I hear that they well donate the Mama Mary and St. Lourdes. I’m so Happy that our Chapel well be nice again.
As we cleaning today there are so many things that I see, some of my neighbor taking there house material beside the Chapel which bring by typhoon Frank and even I see my fellow Scholar taking there television without a back portion and also someone on the top of the roof to fix something and it so sad to see the empty area of the Chapel Altar.
Here are some picture that we take during our cleaning, because the Foundation give us a personal camera to take picture during some of our activities in and out of School.
